About the event

Since the October 7th attack, some 250,000 Israelis have been displaced from their homes — and are living with friends, in hotels and wherever else there are spare bedrooms. They're the lucky the ones. Stephen Wise Free Synagogue invites you to meet three regular Israelis — mother and daughter Batia and Rotem Holin, of Kibbutz Kfar Aza, and Asaf Artel, of Kibbutz Kissufim. In conversation with our Rabbi Ammi Hirsch, they'll tell us their incredible stories of survival and their hopes for rebuilding their lives and communities.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the program begins at 10:00 a.m. Coffee and cookies will be served before the program starts.

This gathering is hosted by Stephen Wise Free Synagogue and is made possible thanks to the JCC Association of North America in partnership with Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs, Combating Antisemitism and the World Zionist Organization.
